As a guitarist and bassist, Jon Levy has always been obsessed with music and gear. Some people think he might be a little too obsessed, but hey — it hasn’t hurt him too much. A Chicago native, he moved to Los Angeles (where he now lives) and spent a decade doing marketing in the record business before entering the world of guitar media. With Premier Guitar he can fully indulge his inner gear geek, helping manufacturers connect with musicians as they look to improve their tone and have more fun playing their instrument.

Meet Brett, PG’s renaissance man. In addition to being a formally trained illustrator and graphic designer, he’s had a guitar in his hand since he was a kid.
During his MI career, Brett has handled marketing and design for two different guitar and amplifier companies, so he takes a very client-centered approach in creating digital and magazine promotional strategies.
A Chicago native, Brett lives in Minneapolis with his family. He’s an active guitarist and vocalist, touring and recording as the front man with his rock band. Keeping it loud and proud helps Brett stay current on the on latest innovations in guitar gear.Â
